Yanomami tribe, Amazon, Brazil. January-February 2019
3 nights and 4 days I traveled by boat with the chief of Yanomami tribe and his family, crossing two rivers. (one way) Geronco (chief) is doing famous Parica inside a boat. His wife Cleonisi is blowing it inside his nose. I was in the "red zone" where in a tribe of about 100 people, 99% have Malaria, I didn’t get it. Became the first ever foreigner to have had permission to stay with this tribe and document their lives. Lived with them for 3 weeks.
I had the opportunity to attend and participate (dances, songs, hunting, shamanism) at the traditional Yanomami funeral ritual, where, at the end of the ritual, Yanomami Indians mix remains and crushed into ashes bones of the deceased with porridge made of bananas and water and then drink this porridge with the whole village. (I have not tried the porridge, because I didn’t know the person)
